Tasting notes
The 2023 La Garde Blanc offers a striking mix of varietal Sauvignon character and structure, a pretty appealing combination in my book. Lemon confit, chalk and white flowers sizzle with tension. There's lovely mid-palate creaminess that should only grow with time in bottle.

The 2023 La Garde Blanc offers simple green apple and yellow plum scents on the nose that just need a little more vigor. The palate is fresh and bright, with clean apricot and white peach notes. Fine acidity, a commercial white Bordeaux, but there is nothing wrong with that. A crowd pleaser.
The 2023 La Garde Blanc features bright, shiny scents of lemon drops, fresh pineapple, and green mango followed by hints of cedar and coriander seed. The light to medium-bodied palate has a crisp backbone and plenty of citrus and tropical fruit layers, finishing on a steely note.
I like the layered texture to this, with fruit and light phenolics, as well as bright acidity. Medium body. Lemon-rind and fresh-apple character at the end. Excellent finish.
