Tasting notes
Red and black fruits, spicy wood, leather, camphor, and savory flower notes all emerge from the 2023 Château La Clemence, a rather exotic, perfumed, complex Pomerol that has lots of sweet fruit, chalky tannins, and a good finish. A borderline fruit bomb, it should round into form with just a few years of bottle age.

Incense, licorice, spice, espresso, smoke, and red fruits work in concert here to produce a medium-bodied, round, creamy, fruity wine.
The 2023 La Clemence is deep garnet-purple in color. Spicy notes of black pepper, cloves, and anise jump from the glass, leading to a core of juicy red and black plums with a touch of sage. The medium-bodied palate is soft and approachable, with plenty of fruit and a peppery finish.
This is a really structured and solid red with medium to full body and firm, tightly wound tannins around succulent dark-berry flavors. Tense and persistent finish.
