Tasting notes
The 2000 Pinot Noir One Acre is structured and muscular, revealing a deeper color than the Savoy, more obvious tannin and acidity, firmness, and excellent concentration. Give it 1-2 years of cellaring, and drink it over the following 7-8. (Price not yet determined) Tel. (707) 963-4762; Fax (707) 963-7332

Fresher, fuller red than the Savoy pinot. Burgundian aromas of raspberry, underbrush and brown spices. Fresher and more intensely flavored than the Savoy, with better definition and grip. But doesn't quite have the verve or complexity for outstanding. Finishes with firm tannins and notes of spicy oak and milk chocolate.
