Tasting notes
Rich panoply of aromas. Really rather gorgeous. Almost flashy it’s so beguiling! There is spice here as well as fruit. Big and bold, with quite enough acidity. Very long. (JR)

The 2021 Pinot Noir The Haven Vineyard has closed a touch since I tasted it in early 2023, but it's still impressive and perfumed. From vines planted in 2001, it's expressive and detailed, unfurling scents of raspberry, blackberry, conifer forest, resinous herbs and licorice. The medium-bodied palate is effortlessly balanced, its concentrated flavors framed by silky tannins and bright acidity, and it has a very long, layered and spicy finish. 300 cases were made.
Medium in body, the 2021 Pinot Noir The Haven Vineyard Estate opens with attractive savory and earthy overtones. It is one of the most delicate and open-knit of the 2021s at Littorai. Time in the glass brings out its ethereal qualities.
Pale ruby in colour. Plump, dark, liquorous fruit, with an edge of bitter gentian. Mouth-coating, fine tannin and gentle acidity, with a long cola and orange-oil-kissed finish. (SCJ)
