Tasting notes
The 2017 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisons Dorés has a very pure bouquet with yellow flowers, hints of apricot and orange blossom. Not powerful, but utterly seductive. The palate is saline on the entry with touches of ginger stem, not deep or voluminous, quite strict for an Aligoté but very focused. Excellent.

Routinely one of the finest examples of this cépage to be found, the 2017 Bourgogne Aligoté Raisins Dorés offers up notes of green orchard fruit and vine blossom. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, with a satiny attack, juicy acids and a sun-kissed core of fruit. Generous but refreshing, this will drink well out of the gates—but don't discount its capacity to age.
Barrel sample. Harvested 21 September. Vines aged 80 years. Small berries from this clone. Spiced herbs and wonderfully rich and ripe. Deep, fresh and a tonic for the first wine of the day. Powerful, rounded. Really spicy and long. (JH)
