1979 d'Issan

This wine has developed considerably over the last 4-5 years and now has an amber edge to its medium ruby color. The slightly herbaceous, moderately intense, oaky, berryish nose is pleasant, but not complex. In the mouth, the wine is light to medium bodied, with some elegance, but it finishes short and a bit hard. Anticipated maturity: Now. Last tasted, 3/89.
