Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2036, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Oct 2018
From all the six parcels, the 2016 Alsace Grand Cru Hengst Riesling is fine, elegant and deep on the concentrated and balanced nose. Round, lush and generous on the palate, with firm mineral tension but refined, elegant, silky-textured fruit, this is an expressive and very persistent Hengst with power, finesse and still some grippy phenols on the finish. Very promising yet still stringent, it is beautifully salty in the long aftertaste. Tasted October 2018.
