Tasting notes
These are some of the oldest vines Olivier Bernstein works with, over 90 years old – and they certainly bring an extra level of concentration. At first, this is even more reserved than the Mazis-Chambertin or the Clos de Vougeot, but with air Olivier Bernstein’s 2022 Clos de Bèze unwinds in the glass with pepper, mint, liquorice, leather and floral notes, unveiling its concentration and balance. It is deep and full-bodied, but again with great acidity that brings lovely freshness. Generous, there’s ripe fruit on the long finish, which lasts forever. This is a grandiose wine, but be patient, for it will offer even more with time.
About the producer

Olivier Bernstein is among the most successful producers in Burgundy, setting the bar high for the growing number of micro-négociants in the region by producing wines that compete with those of the Côte d’Or’s finest domaines.
