Tasting notes
35% Chenin Blanc, 23% Roussanne, 19% Viognier, 15% Clairette Blanche and 8% Sémillon. Natural cork. Tasted blind. Creamy and interesting, even though a new bottle is being poured! Second bottle: much more timid, though still a bit pinched and bone dry on the end. (JR)

The 2015 Aristagos is tasted from two bottles, the first corked. The second has a fresh bouquet with scents of red apple, struck match, dry straw, orchard fruit and light honeysuckle aromas that unfold gracefully with aeration. The palate is well balanced with a silver bead of acidity, linear and correct. What it does not deliver is that knockout punch on the finish. Then again, that is not its style. Drinking perfectly now. Tasted blind at the 10-Year-On horizontal in London.
The 2015 Aristargos is a blend of 35% Chenin Blanc, 23% Roussanne, 15% Clairette Blanche, 19% Viognier and 8% Semillon. It has a captivating bouquet with lanolin, pressed flower and subtle nectarine aromas. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, lively and vibrant with nuanced fresh ginger and lemongrass notes that impart a judicious spiciness towards the finish. The 2014 was excellent and this might be even better.
35% Chenin Blanc, 23% Roussanne, 19% Viognier, 15% Clairette Blanche, 8% Sémillon. RS 2.2 g/l, pH 3.59, TA 4.5 g/l. Cool and pure on the nose, meadow scented. Spicy. Complete and soaring with energy. Apple skin and candied citrus peel and a compact density of flavour that reverberates in the mouth. Great depth. (TC)
