The 2005 Barolo Riserva is a deep, plush wine layered with black fruit, smoke, leather licorice and French oak. It shows good depth and polish in a medium-bodied style with plenty of depth for the year. Anticipated maturity: 2013-2018. Enzo Boglietti’s wines have been a bit inconsistent of late, but this is a fine effort. Importers: New France Wine Co., St. Paul, MN; tel. (651) 698-2533; Cutting Edge Selections, Mariemont, OH; tel.
