Tasting notes
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Corbeaux 1er Cru comes from two parcels. It has a very attractive bouquet of red currant and wild strawberry fruit, quite mineral-driven and very precise. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins and well-judged acidity. Very harmonious in style, delivering gentle grip on the black pepper and graphite-tinged finish. Excellent.

Aromas of blackberries, cherries, espresso roast, rich soil, peonies and smoky cassis introduce the 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux, a medium to full-bodied, deep and succulent wine that's built around powdery tannin and lively acids. Especially elegant and precise this year, this is an intensely flavored, sapid Corbeaux that was vinified with 70% whole cluster and matured in 66% new oak—a third less than only two years ago.
