Displaying a bright straw color, the NV Champagne Tradition is crafted from the 2021 harvest, with 20% reserve wine, and is a blend of 50% Chardonnay, 40% Pinot Noir, and the rest Meunier. This is an impressive first wine, with good intensity, purity, and crispness, and notes of ripe green apples, bright citrus, and a brisk, salty finish. Medium-bodied, it has a refined mousse and fantastic energy throughout. 25,000 bottles produced. Drink this now or over the coming 7-8 years. The De Sousa family owns 10 hectares and also rent some, which they farm and have made organic. Their estate has been certified organic since 2010, and they have been Demeter certified since 2013.

Yeasty, mealy palate with crunchy green-apple fruit and a smoky aftertaste with pert acidity on the finish leaving a crisp savoury length. (RH)
De Sousa's NV Brut Tradition blends 50% Chardonnay with 40% Pinot Noir and 10% Meunier. The wine has an intense yet bright white golden color with some very light pink reflections. The bouquet is clear, fresh and intense, indicating substantial character. Pure and very delicate on the palate, this is a highly elegant and finessed cuvée, and the recent version is based on the 2014 vintage that was bottled unfiltered in early 2015 and was disgorged in November 2017 with a dosage of seven grams per liter. The finish is pure and shows delicate minerality.
