The 1999 Barolo Bussia Vigna Rocche, with good fruit, wild fennel, and spice on the nose, is solid, rich, and long, but the slightly dry tannins on the finish are a bit penalizing. Various American importers, including Michael Skurnik, Syosset, NY; tel. (516) 677-9300

Good full red. Deep, highly scented nose combines dried rose, smoke and tobacco. Silky, tactile and thick; offers an unusually lush texture and a compelling combination of red fruits and smoky oak. An expansive, very ripe wine with a long, mouthcoating aftertaste.
