2003 Pommard Les Rugiens

Good medium red. Initially mute nose opened with aeration to suggest red berries, earth and minerals. Extremely ripe but backward in the mouth, with hints of surmaturite but also enticing floral lift. The flavors ultimately spread out to coat the entire palate, with the very firm tannins arriving late.
