Score 90/100 · Drink 2017-2027, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2015
The 2012 Corton Clos du Roi, tasted at the domaine, has a fragrant bouquet with cranberry, raspberry preserve and tertiary scents coming through: a little austere at first but opening nicely in the glass. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly chewy tannin that will need another 12 to 18 months to soften. The acidity is well judged and it has plenty of substance on the finish, if not quite the finesse of its peers. Still, enjoy this over the next five or six years.
