Tasting notes
Lightish crimson. Pretty, scented, with a touch of orange as well as red fruits. A slightly stemmy note on the palate but it adds freshness rather than detracting from the fruit. Light-bodied, scented. Finely dry texture and finishes fresh. (JH)

The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Grands Liards has a tightly wound, focused bouquet of blackberry, raspberry coulis and subtle orange peel aromas that feel harmonious. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannin and very good acidity and energy. Very impressive for a Village Cru - perhaps a Premier Cru in all but name. Highly recommended.
The 2017 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Grands Liards reveals an appealing bouquet of cherries, cassis, warm spices and forest floor. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, ample and fleshy, with a juicy core of dark fruit and fine structuring tannins.
