Score 85/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 1994
The 1992 Kirwan is a good effort from this perennial underachiever. The color is a dark ruby/purple. The nose offers up plenty of toasty new oak and black-cherries. With some fatness, low acidity, and ripe fruit, this medium-bodied wine may be the best Kirwan in years.

Kirwan
Philippe Delfaut has been integral to the transformation of Ch. Kirwan, taking an estate known for its lavish, Michel-Rolland style and bringing more classicism – with increased precision in the vineyard and winery.
