The 2021 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru has a mineral-rich bouquet with impressive delineation and focus. This has come up a level since I tasted it from barrel last year. The palate is saline right from the start, spicier than the Clos de la Bouchére with a sustained finish that doesn't want to let go. It's a Meursault that's revving its engines.

There is just one barrel of the 2021 Meursault Les Perrières 1er Cru, and it will be late released at some point in the future, Roulot commenting a minimum of five years. It has a startling mineral-driven bouquet that is so tensile and focused. The palate is well balanced with a fine spine of acidity; it's quite saline in the mouth with a sappy finish. Wonderful.
The 2021 Meursault 1er Cru Perrières remains remarkably classic despite the derisory yields. Exhibiting aromas of citrus oil, crisp green apple, nutmeg and white flowers, it's medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated, with racy acids and a taut, chiseled profile.
Mid-pale lemon. Intense, rich, apple nose. Mature with fine, racy acidity. Quite a lot of chewy mâche too in this wine’s ripe texture. Powerful, long, tensile. (MH)
