Almond, lemon and grapefruit peel, and chalk. Rich and full, with creamy density and a chalky, chewy texture. Great length, but like Marchand-Tawse tasted immediately before, just a hint more acidity would be ideal. (TJ)

The 2018 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru has a superb bouquet with crushed stone, flint, yellow flowers and light lemon curd aromas. The palate is crisp and fresh on the entry, sporting the weight and waxy-texture one seeks in a Corton-Charlemagne. Great tension from start to finish, this constitutes a superb Grand Cru from Javillier.
