The 2021 Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru comes from the Pernand-Vergelesses side of the hill, and was bottled just before the harvest. This has a simple but effective bouquet with scents of pineapple and pear, even a touch of banana. The palate is well balanced with a pleasant rondeur, oddly reminding me of some Pinot Blancs that I have tasted this vintage. Maybe a little short on the finish, but it has plenty of charm.
