The 2020 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is sunny with pineapple, a hint of flinty reduction, and well-balanced vanilla bean oak spice. It is beautifully layered and has a luxurious feel. with notes of ripe peach, lemon curd. and underlying saline minerality. A classic, benchmark style to cellar another year or so.
Coche-Dury fans will love this 2020 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard, which turns up the volume and expression of the characteristically tensile, flinty Chardonnay from Hyde Vineyard. Opening with tones of struck match, it takes plenty of time in the glass to unfurl its concentrated white peach, apricot, lime peel, baking spice and pie crust aromas. The palate offers a fantastically satiny texture, seamless acidity and a tremendously long finish.
