2019 Peter Max Pinot Noir

The 2019 Peter Max saw 50% destemming with four weeks on the skins, and was matured with 10% new French oak. It has a pure bouquet of red cherries, crushed strawberry and orange blossom scents, natural and elegant, not unlike a Beaune Premier Cru. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline entry, dark berry fruit and a touch of licorice popping up toward the finish. Maybe a little rustic compared to the Cuvée Cinema, but you would glug this down in no time.
