Tasting notes
The 2016 Barolo Roggeri marries a dark expression of Nebbiolo with the mid-weight structure of Nebbiolo. Firm tannins wrap around a core of black cherry, cloves, lavender, menthol and leather. This virile, somber Barolo packs quite a punch.

La Morra. Tasted blind. Just mid ruby. Gorgeous, lifted nose of pure raspberry, as if it is (partially) whole-bunch fermented, and with hints of iron. Bags of juicy raspberry fruit and fine tannins and lively acidity and elegant palate weight. Complete. (WS)
Mid garnet. Very attractive and alluring nose showing spiced fruit. Rounded palate with firm but ripe tannins and lots of spice. Drops off a little on the finish. (AC)
