Tasting notes
What a pleasure it is to revisit Luigi Oddero's 2015 Barolo. Silky, perfumed and light on its feet, the 2015 is a fabulous wine for drinking now and over the next decade or so. All the elements come together so effortlessly. Crushed flowers, orange peel, spice and sweet red berry fruit all linger on the soft, gracious finish. Today, the 2015 has a bit more flesh than it had when I last tasted it, almost a year ago.

The 2015 Barolo is perfumed, silky and gracious, all of which make it an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. At times, the straight Barolo is just a touch fleeting, but it is nevertheless very pretty, especially within its peer group. This is nicely done.
The perfumes of pure nebbiolo are speaking here with cherry and ripe-strawberry aromas and a rose-petal undertone. Full body, tight and firm tannins and a long, flavorful finish. Shows focus and intensity. Drink from 2022.
