74% Merlot, 26% Cabernet Franc. Fermented in concrete vats, with malolactic fermentation in oak barrels. Aged for 12 – 18 months in oak. Winemaker Michel Moreau. RS 2.3 g/l. Rich and round with some maturity. A please-all for Christmas dinner. Livelier than many a Pomerol. (JR)

Dark plum red. Toasty nose. Sweet and without great concentration. Easy but not enormously ambitious. Giscours of the right bank? (JR)

The 2014 Plince has lost some of its freshness and depth. The wine's dried out flavors and modest depth suggest it is best enjoyed sooner rather than later.

Mid ruby. A suggestion of oak on the nose. Chunky and friendly. Somehow has the shape of a Toby jug, puffed out chest and all. Nothing sophisticated but lots of fruity fun. (JR)
