Made from 55% Sauvignon and 45% Sémillon brought up mostly in used larger barrels, the 2021 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey Blanc has a vibrant, clean, crisp, yet textured and medium-bodied style offering bright lemon and lime fruits, some subtle honeyed flower notes, bright acidity, a focused, lively texture, and a great finish.

93% Sémillon, 7% Sauvignon Blanc. Mid gold. Thick, viscous and sweet, perhaps a little too rich and sweet, the acidity and zing not quite matching the sweetness. Though there is power, intensity and length. (JH)
I loved the 2021 Château Lafaurie-Peyraguey, which has freshness as well as richness. Honeyed grapefruit, peach, marmalade, and some exotic floral notes all define the nose, and it's medium to full-bodied, with perfectly integrated acidity and a great finish. This stunning Sauternes will offer loads of pleasure over the coming two decades.
The 2021 Lafaurie-Peyraguey has quite an effervescent bouquet with orange zest, wild honey and crushed stone. The palate is beautifully balanced, very harmonious with tensile rich botrytised fruit. Almost crystalline towards the finish (I will resist describing it as cut glass!) Long and refined on the aftertaste. Outstanding.
