Tasting notes
As I wrote last year, Guffens tends to blend his holdings in En Carmentrant and La Côte with his later press fractions to produce a more approachable, demonstrative wine, so it is worth emphasizing that this is not the case this year, for the 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé C. C. contains no press juice. Bursting with aromas of green pineapple, orange oil, freshly baked bread, beeswax and nutmeg, framed by a deft touch of youthful reduction, it's full-bodied, ample and satiny, with a sensual, textural profile, racy acids and a long, perfumed finish.

The 2020 Pouilly-Fuissé "C.C" was very reduced on the nose and like the palate, difficult to read. There is plenty of matière here, and it will age extremely well, so just shove it down in a cellar and forget about it for several years.
