Score 95/100 · Drink 2028-2053, Anne Krebiehl MW, Vinous, May 2024
The 2021 Riesling Ried Achleiten Auslese, made with around 20% botrytized fruit, immediately shows dried fruit, honeyed overtones, dried white currant and a touch of small, dried fig. The palate has sweetness and exquisite lemon-scented coulis of apricot. It is very pure, absolutely delicious and not too sweet at all. The 2021 is serene, bright, so fresh and utterly delicious with great length. This has absolute citric length and vivid purity. (Off-dry)

RS 35 g/l. Very pale, like the drier wines. Not much nose. Medium sweet but still quite light. One of those wines I'd have a hard time fitting in to my drinking schedule. Too tart to serve with anything really sweet. (JR)
