Score 87-89/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous
Good deep ruby-red. Raspberry, smoke and game on the nose. Fat and sweet in the mouth, with tangy raspberry and spice flavors. Fruity and forthcoming. Finishes with tongue-dusting but ripe and even tannins.

About the producer

Thierry Allemand
Allemand’s wines set the benchmark for Cornas: expressive Syrahs crafted with uncompromising traditional methods and released in tiny quantities. From the 1980s, he revived abandoned vineyards on Cornas’s steep granite slopes, building his domaine without inherited land or financial support.
