Tasting notes
The forward 2018 Côtes du Jura Florine presents an evolved nose of bruised apple, dried blossom, quince, hay and a touch of flint. Powerful and dense, the 2018 hits the palate with full steam ahead. Concentrated and layered, this is a punchy Florine that reflects the warm vintage. Less refreshing than the 2019, the 2018 is best enjoyed chilled to maintain balance.

The 2018 whites were bottled after four years of élevage, as he has been gradually extending the time the wines spend in oak. The 2018 Florine, a Chardonnay from vines planted in 1986 on gravel and gray marl soils, fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured with the lees for four years and was bottled unfined, unfiltered and without the addition of any sulfur. It has a honeyed nose and feels ripe and tender, round and tasty, with 14% alcohol.
