Score 87/100 · Drink 2019-2026, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Mar 2020
Grasso's 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Gavarini is laced with crushed red berries, dried flowers, mint, sweet tobacco and anise. I would prefer to drink the 2018 sooner rather than later, as it is a bit fleeting, even in the early going.

The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Gavarini offers a very happy drinking experience with pure varietal typicity that underlines wild berry, cola, mint and licorice. Those delicate aromas are followed by freshness and a subtle snap of tannic tightness. The wine offers a perfect pairing approach to a dish with savory flavors and some unctuous olive oil, such as fettuccine with wild porcini mushrooms.
