2009 Cuvee William Deutz

Tasting notes
Usually 55% Pinot Noir, 35% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier. Big and bold. Fairly rich but with a tight bead. No shortage of character: a mix of coffee and green fruit, but those two elements are miraculously intertwined (interwined?) by now. This would be great with food. No signs of age. (JR)

This is the richer of the two prestige cuvées from this producer. It is made for aging and this Champagne is still very young. All the elements are there, including rich fruits, spice and good acidity. But wait at least until 2022 for this wine to approach maturity. Roger Voss
A dense and layered Champagne with hints of pie-crust and almond character. Very fine bubbles. Medium to full body. Creamy and flavorful. Shows length and richness. Open and ready. Drink now.
