Score 87/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Robert Parker, Apr 2014
Proprietress Helene Boibert continues to turn out a delicious Cru Bourgeois that transcends its peer group. This lovely 2011 exhibits a deep ruby/purple color along with lots of sweet cassis and floral notes as well as nicely integrated wood, alcohol and tannin. It is a quintessential classic Medoc that has triumphed over the problems of this tough vintage. Drink it over the next 4-5 years. It is a sleeper of the vintage.

Notably dark crimson. Very vigorous and savoury on the nose. Lots of vitality. Bone-dry wine with admirable freshness. Not mean or excessively tart. (JR)
