Tasting notes
Crimson that looks a little more developed than the 2016. Pretty sweet and loose. More freshness and shape, please! Though there is a bit of tannin here. (JR)

The 2015 Fonroque is a soft, supple wine to drink now and over the next few years, while the red cherry, plum and floral notes retain their youthful vibrancy. With a little more depth, structure and complexity, this could be a meaningfully better wine. Even so, the 2015 is tasty. But it could have been more than that. Tasted two times.
Medium to deep garnet-purple in color, the 2015 Fonroque has an earthy nose scented of damp soil and mossy bark over a core of dried mulberries, fruitcake and cherry cordial. Medium to full-bodied with loads of freshness and a chewy frame, it finishes with some spicy notions coming through.
