Tasted blind. Smells just like shoes (not leather but shoes)! Solid and with fresh appetising fruit. Some dried-fruit notes. (JR)

The 2012 Fayat offers good immediacy, but lacks complexity and depth. I would prefer to drink the 2012 over the next few years, while the flavors remain bold and juicy, as there isn't much material here to allow for aging.

This 2012 from Fayat is a deep ruby/purple color and has good ripeness, but wines from this estate always seems to lack complexity and nuance. Overall, it is monolithic and somewhat straightforward. Drink it over the next decade.
