Tasting notes
I love the richness, coupled by the finesse of the 2016 Syrah Case Via. This beautiful expression hits that elusive intersection of elegance and power with bullseye precision. This is an impressive effort that brings forth beautifully balanced aromas of dark fruit, blackberry, spice, leather and earthy terracotta. I'd love to come back and try this Tuscan Syrah ten years from now.

The 2016 Syrah Case Via is powerful, dense and rich, with all of the natural intensity of this great Tuscan vintage on display. The Fontodi Syrah is not especially varietal, but it is flat-out gorgeous if taken on its own terms. Today, the Syrah is one of the most backward wines in the range. It clearly needs time for the aromatics to develop, and yet there is so much to look forward to.
Fabulous syrah with crushed berries and minerals, together with tea-leaf, lavender and slate character. Medium to full body. Silky and polished tannins. Drink in 2021, but already a joy to taste.
