Attractive notes of red and black cherries, dried herbs, new leather, and a touch of loamy soil emerge from the 2018 Gigondas Pierre Aiguille. Medium-bodied, it has a supple, elegant texture, ripe tannins, and a great finish. Enjoy this classic Provençal Gigondas over the coming 8-10 years.

Aged for 12 months in old oak. Cask sample. Tasted blind. Closed nose, simple palate with sufficiently ripe but underpowered red fruit. Easy drinking with structure that doesn't need extensive age. (RH)
