Tasting notes
Dark magenta. Smoky black and blue fruit aromas are complemented by lively mineral and black pepper accents. Offers energetic boysenberry, cherry-cola and violet pastille flavors, along with notes of black pepper and olive paste. The floral note repeats on the persistent finish, which features well-knit tannins and lingering spiciness.

From one of my favorite producers, the 2020 Crozes-Hermitage Domaine reveals a dense purple hue to go with a beautiful perfume of blue and black fruits, scorched earth, graphite, and ground pepper. This pure, medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced Crozes has nicely integrated acidity, ripe, building tannins, and a great finish. Give it a few years and drink over the following decade.
Hints of black olive wind around and through the blackberry and cherry core of the 2020 Crozes Hermitage. Medium to full-bodied, concentrated and ripe, with a velvety feel and ample length, this is a fine example of the appellation.
100% Marsanne. Appetising and intriguing with a pear and almond aroma and flavour and honeyed note on the palate. Ripe but focused with good mid-palate fruit and a minerally fresh finish. Drinking well now. (JL)
