Tasting notes
The 2013 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard has fabulous fruit concentration, great acidity, discreet use of oak as well as notes of white peach and honeysuckle, currants and a touch of quince. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.

The 2013 Chardonnay Hyde Vineyard is laced with hints of orange blossom, dried orchard fruit, butter, smoke and savory notes – all typical of Wente clone Chardonnay – although there is less textural richness than is often the case. The Hyde is a pretty wine, but the vineyard signatures are not especially marked.
A distinctly feminine, gracious expression of Chardonnay emerges from the 2012 Hyde Vineyard. Sweet floral notes lead to bright citrus, green orchard fruit, mint and lemon peel. In 2013, the Hyde is all about delineation and nuance.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
