Pio Cesare's 2014 Barbaresco is bright, articulate and very attractive. Hints of citrus, wild flowers and white pepper add aromatic lift to this nuanced, mid-weight Barbaresco. The 2014 is a bit lithe in feel, but it has enough persistence to drink well for another decade or so.

The 2014 Barbaresco by Pio Cesare shows an immediate sense of sophistication that comes through, thanks to the nuanced and evolved nature of the fruit. Dried cherry and wild rose are characteristic of the Nebbiolo grape, and you get grilled herb and balsam herb at the back. This classic Barbaresco also shows tones of smoke and crushed mineral. This wine offers immediate drinking pleasure. Some 30,000 bottles were produced.
