Score 94/100 · Drink 2023-2030, Antonio Galloni, Vinous
The 2003 Cabernet Sauvignon Gravelly Meadow is a powerful, burly wine. Dark fruit, grilled herbs, leather, tobacco and chocolate open nicely with time in the glass. Strong inflections from the oak regimen at this time are evident, as are the first signs of evolution seen through the slightly oxidative character that emerges. Hints of leather, menthol and licorice linger.
