The 2019 Mâcon La Roche Vineuse Les Cras is matured for 18 months in barrel, bottled April ‘21 after a month in vat. It has a well defined and nicely focused bouquet with red apple, mandarin and touches of white peach, hints of crushed rock coming through with aeration. The palate is very well balanced with impressive weight. In terms of texture, it's slightly waxy towards the finish. It's a little peppery in both style and in the aftertaste. This comes highly recommended - an excellent Mâcon.

Merlin's 2019 Mâcon-La Roche-Vineuse Les Cras wafts from the glass with notes of pear, white flowers, struck match and fresh pastry. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and textural, it's rich and round, with lively acids and a saline finish. This has turned out well.
