La Morra. Just mid ruby with orange tinges. Beguiling nose of sweet red berry with savoury pet-shop hints. Elegant raspberry and rose-hip palate with a dusting of grainy tannins. Delicious chalky and chewy tannins on a long, aromatic, sweet red-fruit finish. A generous but not heavy mouthful. Inherent elegance (WS)

The 2018 Barolo La Serra is bright, focused and very nicely balanced. All of the energy of this La Morra cru comes through in a mid-weight, nervy Barolo that is full of character. Macerated cherry, spice, mint, blood orange and incense all run through this layered, super-classic Barolo from Marcarini.
