This is tangy and bright with sliced lemon and strawberry character. Medium body, firm tannins and a clean finish. Needs a year or two to soften.

Good medium red. Musky aromas of ripe red fruits, rose petal and minerals. Juicy on entry, then tight and firm in the middle, with a cherry flavor complicated by notes of earth, spices and leather. The tannins are a bit angular today but the wine finishes with good persistence.
The 2013 Beaune 1er Cru les Theurons (under the Domaine des Heritiers Jadot label) has a very tight, dark cherry and blackcurrant-scented bouquet with a slight tinniness at the moment. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, good weight in the mouth, with sappy black fruit on the grainy finish. There is more density here than on the Les Greves at the moment.
Mid ruby. Something a little mossy rather than fruity on the nose. Sharp bitter cherry fruit. Very hard work for the moment with tannins a bit austere. No great persistence. (JR)
