Tasting notes
The 2020 Condrieu Chery doesn't have the sheer richness of the Chanson and is more mineral-laced, with a gorgeous perfume of white peach, tangerine, pineapple, and chalky minerality. Medium to full-bodied, this balanced, sensationally pure Condrieu will put on a touch of richness with a year in bottle and will keep nicely for 7-8 years. It's another incredible effort from one of the masters of the variety!

I think the star of the show will be the 2020 Condrieu Coteau Du Chery, which has a similar level of density and power compared to the Clos Chanson to go with a pure, crystalline bouquet of quince, apricot, honeyed peach, and flowers. It has a beautiful salinity and it’s like liquid rock minerality on the palate. Count me impressed.
Fruit from 40- to 80-year-old vines; fermented and aged in barrique (10% new) for one year; bottled. Plenty of fruit, white peach and marzipan. Mouth-filling and fleshy peachy notes with good density of fruit, moderate acidity and a long finish. (AC)
