Tasting notes
The 2022 Sigalas Rabaud has quite an elegant and pure bouquet with wild honey, wild peach, quince and crème fraîche aromas. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry, impressive weight and depth. I would like more acidity for sure, although I admire the purity of fruit here. Tasted blind at the Southwold tasting in London.

Honeyed lemon, quince, crushed mint, and vanilla bean notes all emerge from the 2022 Château Sigalas Rabaud, a sweet, unctuous, opulent Sauternes that's probably best drunk over the coming year or so.
The 2022 Sigalas Rabaud presents a fragrant nose of wild honey and tinned apricot. The palate is well balanced with a viscous entry and tones of quince and marmalade, leading to a slightly peachy patisserie-tinged finish that lingers nicely. Promising.
A slightly simple Sauternes with sliced dried pineapple, dried lemons and hints of beeswax and spices. Not the most concentrated but pretty balanced, with medium-high acidity just managing to keep the freshness. Good, medium-long finish. Drink or hold.
