Score 82/100 · Drink 2013, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Jun 2013

Tasted as part of a vertical held at the chateau. The Guiraud 1985 has a lifted adhesive and lanolin-scented bouquet with touches of brown sugar and an algae-like scent that turns toffee-ish with aeration. The palate is actually much better than the nose with light honeyed fruit. However, there is no escaping that it is now showing quite thin and attenuated, but it is rescued by a decent thread of acidity. Drink now. Tasted April 2013.
