Tasting notes
Tasted blind. Deep greyish crimson. Very sweet aroma of red fruits. Raspberries! Light, juicy, idiosyncratic and a bit lean overall but very fresh, herbal. (JH)

The 2020 Connetable de Talbot showed well just after bottling, but this example feels a little diffuse on the nose and more evolved on the palate than I would have expected, even as a Deuxième Vin . As such, I won't score this. Tasted blind at the annual Southwold tasting.
Darker fruits on the nose than the 2019, clear coffee bean here, with blond tobacco, bilberry, cassis and slate, great Médoc character and well defined tannins. No new oak for ageing.
About the producer

Quality has not necessarily always lived up to this property’s Fourth Growth status, however there have been significant improvements in recent years, with a sustainable focus in the vineyard, and new winery and cellar.
