Tasting notes
Darker currants, plums, leafy herbs, violets, and damp earth notes all emerge from the 2021 Château Tour Des Termes, a rock-solid, medium-bodied, nicely balanced Saint-Estèphe that has fine tannins and nicely integrated acidity. It has classic Saint-Estephe character and I suspect will evolve nicely for at least 10-12 years.

The 2021 Tour des Terms has a fresh, energetic bouquet with a pronounced minty element that was not noticeable in barrel but complements the black fruit well. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins and a fine bead of acidity, cohesive and exerting a gentle grip. This has more elegance and precision on the finish than many of its peers and given market prices, this comes recommended.
The 2021 Tour de Termes is bright, savory and quite punchy. In 2021, it doesn’t have its usual mid-palate depth. Inky dark fruit, tobacco and mint open with some coaxing. This is an especially nervy style for Tour des Termes, a wine that is more generous in most vintages.
The 2021 Tour des Termes has an earthy, tobacco-scented bouquet that needs a bit more fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with grainy tannins, building nicely on the midpalate and delivering a fresh, oyster-shell-tinged finish. This is a fine Saint-Estèphe that should age well in bottle.
