The 2015 Cos-Labory has a lovely floral bouquet with ample red berry fruit and a mote of chalk dust. The palate is medium-bodied with finely tuned tannin, and well judged acidity. More black and blue fruit toward the fresh finish. It's not the best Saint-Estèphe, but for a property that is often maligned, this is a decent mid-term wine. Tasted blind at the Southwold 2015 Bordeaux tasting.

Tasted blind. Deep crimson. Putty and interest on the nose. Some real vitality on the palate. Bone dry and savoury. Las Cases style! (JR)

The 2015 Cos Labory is powerful, dense and super-concentrated. Although the new oak remains prominent, the wine has really come together very nicely during its aging and is now much more harmonious than it was from barrel. Sweet red cherry, tobacco, licorice and crushed flowers are all sketched in bold tones that convey an extroverted style. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc.
